About
Wildfolk & Whimsy is a storytelling artisan fragrance company nestled in the Yadkin Valley, deep in the heart of Appalachia. This is my simple but beautiful perfume studio inside of my farmhouse built in 1805.
Every perfume I make begins with a story—sometimes mine, sometimes yours, sometimes one whispered by the land itself. It might come in as a half-remembered dream, the taste of wild strawberries in June, or the hush that settles over the hills just before a storm. My job is to capture that, bottle it, and give it a body through scent.
This isn’t high-gloss perfumery. It’s traditional folk art, southern storytelling, and a whole lot of care.
Each blend is crafted by hand in small batches using a mix of natural essences and rare created perfume materials—chosen not for trend, but for truth. I work with tallow, beeswax, local oils, and botanicals because they feel like home. Sometimes, I add perfumer’s accords to chase a memory I can’t quite reach with naturals alone. It’s not about perfection. It’s about intention.
Scent, to me, is a kind of time travel. It can take you somewhere you’ve never been but somehow still know. It can hold grief. Spark joy. Wrap you in comfort or shake you awake. That’s the magic I’m after—something that feels like a poem on the skin.
Wildfolk & Whimsy perfumes are meant to be worn close. They’re not made to announce you across a room. They’re made to pull you inward, to help you remember something sacred and maybe even secret.. They shift with your skin, your seasons, your stories.
This is for those who live with one foot in the visible world and the other in the unseen. For lovers of lore, keepers of old ways, and those who find beauty in the in-between.
Come as you are. Smell like a memory. Wear a story.
Wildfolk & Whimsy—handcrafted in Appalachia. Made with love and shared by grace.
